This sleek vehicle from BMW is a high performance luxury flagship model, designed and produced based on the 6-series convertible or coupe but remodified by the M performance department.

Engine

The model is powered by the 5.0 liter V10 engine that can generate power up to 500 rpm and it is replacement to the 4.8 liter V8 engine that can produce power up to 360 hp, which was used in the earlier versions of M series. The engine in the luxury vehicle is paired to either 7-speed or 6-speed automated sequential manual gearbox (SMG). The suspension is increased to match the power generated by the V10 engine, modifications in the bodywork suitably for improved greater down force, lighter weight and cooling.

Performance

Despite the larger engine in this stunning car, the overall weight of the luxury car has increased only by 100 pounds. This less weight is due to the usage of aluminum body panels instead of steel panels, carbon fiber and thermoplastic.

This model is a motor sport derived performance model and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per gallon in a time span of just 4.5 seconds or less. The fuel economy achieved by the model in the city premises is 11 miles per gallon and 17 miles per gallon on the highway roads.
