Review of 2008 BMW M6

M6 is becoming a bigger and bigger rage with every year passing by. BMW M6 2008 is yet another example of the same. Laced with a powerhouse engine and modern styling, it has graduated to become the ultimate muse of business class users.

Body Style and Trims

The powerful M6 was presented in two body styles- Coupe and Convertible. Both styles have Base as their only trim option.

The muscular and sporty model from BMW has excellent credentials under the hood. It is motivated by a 5.0 liter V10 engine, which churns out a mammoth 500 hp @ 7750 rpm of output power and generates 383 ft-lbs. @ 6100 rpm of torque. It sprints from 0 – 60 mph in flat 4.6 seconds, making it one of the fastest BMW models ever.


Drive-train Specs

The engine is coupled with a 7 speed automated manual SMG, which happens to be a carry-forward from the last year. M6 2008 comes with rear wheel drive as the standard option.

Exterior Styling

On the outside, we can see revamped headlights and taillights with LED; Amber DOT front reflectors get relocated ahead of wheel–wells. It also features a carbon fibre roof panel which enhances the outlook.

Fuel Economy

Both M6 Coupe and Convertible offer an identical mileage of 11 mpg within city limits and 17 mpg on highways.

Pricing

2008 M6 Coupe is priced at a MSRP of $50,630 and the Convertible costs $53,486.

BMW M6 2008 is more famous for its performance and styling, but the lesser known fact is, the material required to build the model are chosen in such a way that most of them are environment friendly. So, M6 basically comes both with performance and environment compatibility.
